March 28th, 2026. COTA, Austin, Texas. Martin started seventh and spent most of the Sprint working his way through the field while Bagnaia controlled things at the front.

With three laps to go Bezzecchi crashed out, putting Martin into second and within striking distance. The gap to Bagnaia was just over a second. On the final lap he went for it at Turn 12, Bagnaia ran deep and couldn't respond. Martin crossed the line seven tenths clear, his first Sprint win in two years and his first ever for Aprilia.
